We would like to inform you that the Classic Motorcycles Trophy of July 17-18 and 19th 2009 will be organised on the short circuit of 4.500 km long and not on the old historic road track as announced previously.
This modification is the result of a recent decision of the Town Council:
“Reports issued both by the emergency rescue service and the police revealed that during last year’s week end event, a number of accidents occurred on the various road diversion itineraries requiring the sending of several ambulances. Interventions of urgent nature become particularly difficult in the frame of large scale road diversions which unavoidably generate traffic congestion.
Consequently and in the interest of the safe-keeping of the local citizens, the City Council confirms its willingness expressed last year after the 2008 season’s debriefing meeting and does not wish that the old circuit is used again in 2009.”
We thank you for your understanding of this decision which is entirely beyond our control.
